dcairns Posted October 16, 2008 Report Share Posted October 16, 2008 I think it looks a whole lot better than a Prius. There is some similarity in shape, but the Volt actually has some style to it, whereas the Prius is just plain boring looking. The Volt is not as good looking as the concept, but still pretty good. As for making it a hybrid, this is a step up from the Prius as well. The drive train is pure electric, with a gas engine to generate electricity when extended range is needed. That overcomes the biggest obstacle to eletric cars, the "what good is it when I need to drive furhter than the batteries last" problem.
