Can You Put Awd On 2wd Dyno?

my truck doesnt fit on an awd dyno and was put on anyway without me even knowing it is this safe and how the hell did they do it :confused: is this killing my front axles im just confused after words i realize they did this should i be pissed or is this ok what did they do to keep it from taking off and is this ok to do again and again for tuning reasons?

if they know what they are doing it won't hurt. there is a specific way to do it though. as soon as they let off the throttle they need to drop it to neutral.

just remove the front drive shaft... after the dyno do NOT use the brakes to slow... or kiss your t-case good bye... let the truck slow itself and you'll be fine.

 

I've dynoed mine over 20 times this way, no issues :cheers:

We have had several problems with this over at the Denali site. The truck drives fine but when they get in inclement weather they realize that the viscuos coupling is not transmitting full power to the fronts when need be. I would not dyno on a two wheel dyno. In fact I have not and I have a blower and a host of other mods.

if you pop your hood on the right bottom side of the engine compartment it clearly says not to use a 2wd dyno.....must be a reason for that. when my truck gets tuned they tune it the old school way...on the streets. takes longer but i dont want to risk it.
