I cleaned it roughly 6 months ago and decided to day i would have look at it. Well that turned into a huge cleaning session. I don't know if its because of all the dust we have here natually and me riding every weekend where I have track off road in very dirty/dusty conditions but this is getting old. I have never seen it this bad. So all you AZ guys, keep an eye on your filter, maybe I can re-coop some fuel mileage from cleaning it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
desrtrat Posted February 1, 2009 Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 i have the same here in the high desert in So Cal. all i can say is get use to it, i did just keep an eye on the filter more often. I'll check mine every oil change. with the volant scoop i have it will get bad, just sitting and not driving it. wind here will blow 20-35 mph here (called a light breeze here ) for a couple of days and the dust just gets into everything just clean it a little more often... welcome to the club..
