hebbNH
I installed my Volant intake today. Install went smoothly, mostly because I read in another thread that Volant's directions are backwards. Thanks for the heads up on that. I love the sound when I get on it, but can't really tell much performance gain. Hopefully a PCM tune will help. One question though, is there supposed to be a cap to block of the inlet for the add-on scoop, or is it supposed to be open?
Nightshift
Mine didn't have a cap so it's open... You'll love a custom tune WW

BenKey
Cap it until you do get the air scoop, or fab your own. Otherwise, you're just sucking hot air.
rdss
I am not worrying about it till I get down to Jax, Fl. Then I will fashion the cold air intake for it. I dont really think that in Maine it gets hot enough.
LPEZR1
I really couldn't tell a big difference when I first put it in either. My gas mileage went up a little immediately. But, today I took it off and put stock back on and there was a definate loss of power. Noticed it on hills, downshifts where they were not before. Sold my SS, career change and needed to scale back. Was a fun year with the SS.
