bikeman311
Whats the most miles you have got from a full tank (25 gallons)? I have 03 ss AWD just got 328 miles for and avg of 13.1 MPG's for my first tank. Truck is new to me so I had my foot in it alot of the 328 miles, FYI I have a K&N CIA and Flowmaster. JF-03-SS
353 miles
Hankg42
I've never run it down to empty, but I average just a shade over 15 MPG. That's about 385 miles to 25 gallons. I think the tank holds a bit more than that though.
lilindy500
My last trip I averaged 17.7 us mpg not exceeding 65mph. Usually in the winter I have been getting 600+ kms per tank. This past summer I got over 700kms very regularly. AEM CAI, flowmaster exhaust, and zippy tune. This is all while running 87 octane.
bikeman311
This is all while running 87 octane. You can run 87 octane in the 6.0???? I have always heard never to run below 91 what up w/ that?
IndySilveradoSS
I just got 324 for the first time, avg 13.8! I've never gotten that much out of a tank. I do a lot of city driving though. hopefully a exhaust, cai, and tune will help my mpg's
Fireman31
You can run 87 octane in the 6.0???? I have always heard never to run below 91 what up w/ that? You are not supposed to run anything lower then 91....low octane fuel creates detonation and ping, which robs you of power and decreases your fuel economy. I never run my fuel level below 1/4 tank, I average 11-13mpg around town and 18-20mpg on the highway if I keep it under 70mph, over 70mph I average 16-18mpg. delay18
Combo of both highway and city, I average around 14.5-15.5mpg. I just cleaned my MAF (very dirty) and instant fuel economy has shown a little improvement so well see overall. And that is with no mods. hot rod truck
Here's something to look at: Fuel Economy Ratings Shows the original fuel economy rating sticker and what the revised (in 2008) fuel economy ratings for vehicles back all the way back to 1985. Interesting stuff
