WYOSTUNTA
Hey guys my truck has falkens on it and its lowered and the front tires wear twice as fast. Does anyone know if this is normal with the all wheel drive I have had it aligned twice and inspected . Thanks in advance
Jaymz
you will have some higher wear on the fronts due to the AWD.. however it shouldn't be substantial. What components were used to lower the front ? IE.. spindles, spindles + keys, Just keys, or just cranked it down, Etc.. It should of been taken care of if it was aligned propery Though
Rays B4U
Are you rotating the tires? The manual recommends doing it every 7500 miles. I just replaced my factory Goodyears and when it came to wear, I couldn't tell the fronts from the rears, all 4 were equal.

When I got my new tires, TireRack recommended rotation every 5000 miles. I do them in between 5000 and 7500. Nice, even wear.
wishminewasanss
Dude falkens are a rough compound tire, I get falkens in and out of my tire shop. And ill tell you they don't wear out that fast unless you have a suspension problem And yes rotate those tires! Good luck!
Fireman31
Sounds like an alignment problem to me, where exactly on the tread are the tires wearing quickly?
budhayes3
Is the tire wear even, as in both inner and outer edge? If so the wear is from underinflation or lack of rotation. If it's just on one edge of both tires, then you have an alignment problem, worn suspension components, or both.
