0 04Yukon Posted April 19, 2009 Report Share Posted April 19, 2009 thats weird, the link that he sent me almost looked like a virus, i just deleted the pms. and i think that someone may have hacked my password becuase my old one would not let me log on, i had to change it. i know its been a while since i have been on here but wow! I would never click a hot link in a PM from a user with no posts. I also wonder if the administrators could limit PMs to bonified users. Invision Power Board has released a patch to deal with this new influx of spammers using the private message system. We are now running flood control on the private message system which means you can only send 1 PM per 5 minutes. This will keep spammers from sending 100's of PM's a minutes, and really bogging down the server. Please note this will only affect the 'newbie' member group.
