chpspecial
Take a look at those pics again, that car got slammed really hard, the trunk lid is in the back seat. That Camaro was rear ended at 40+ MPH to have damage that extensive. Most newer cars wrinkle like that for a reason, to absorb impact, I see it all the time. They are called crumple zones, the damage is extensive, but the the occupants of the vehicle are safer and less likely to be injured because of it. Would you guys rather the cars hold up like they did in the 50's. check those video out then tell me that the camaro did badly in high speed impact. How is it that everyone forgets that cars are designed to crumple so that the occupants have minor injuries. and this mandated by federal law not GM. Hence why they get 1-5 star ratings on impact testing.

SSChevroletset
yes they are designed to absorb the impact. a challenger is better looking? those things are gay as hell. Agreed, the Camaro SS runs a 13.0@ 111 and the Challenger SRT-8 runs a 13.8 straight from the factory. The Challengers slower, heavier, handles like a boat, and even costs more! Let alone the looks. Bowtie pride. Edited May 13, 2009 by SS Chevrolet Set (see edit history)
