Porno Joe
truck is a 2003 SS Sometimes when you are driving and step on the brake, the pedal will pulse then the abs light will come on. Every once in a while the service brake system warning will flash up on the DIC. the only problem is as soon as you shut the truck off everything is back to normal. this doesnt happen everytime, It seems like it will do it for a week, then it wont happen for a month. Any ideas where to start?
Fireman31
Have you scanned it for codes? It is most likely a dirty or faulty wheel speed sensor.......worst case scenario is a bad ABS pump....

Any ideas where to start? I know this post is a bit old but I am experiencing the same problem on my truck as well. It all started after I was towing another vehicle. Have you figured out what caused it and how did you fix it. Thanks
bassmaster
check your front wheel bearings for play...a lot of times thats the culprit Do this. My sierra had the pulsating brakes randomly for several months. I cleaned the sensors off which worked for maybe a month then happened again. My hubs ended up being shot. Replaced them with top of the line Timkens for like $105ea from RockAuto and it's been fine ever since sent from your HTC Rezound

My right front hub bearing was bad. Its weird cause I just replaced both front hub bearings last year. I guess the O'reilly house brand bearings are crap. This time I'm gonna try the Precision brand. bassmaster
Nice! Glad you figured it out. But hell, just go right to the best brand in hubs with Timken's imo. I did some research while choosing mine, and damn near every single person suggested them. Like I said, RockAuto.com had the best price by far. $104 per hub iirc at the time of early 2013 sent from your HTC Rezound
