Krambo Posted February 28, 2003 Report Share Posted February 28, 2003 Just a note to see if anyone else has had a problem with the oil from a K&N causing a build up on the MASS Air sensor wires causing minor performance problems. This has happened to me in my Mustang as well as my Silverado. I would periodically use a cotton swab ("Q-Tip") with some rubbing alcohol and gently clean off the MA wire and surrounding shroud. This would show an obvious improvement at idle but at cruising speeds and WOT it did nothing. This situation would be evident using a new filter as well as a cleaned and oiled filter, so no...I didn't use too much oil on the filter after cleaning. Anyone else?
