SS Silv Posted August 30, 2009 Report Share Posted August 30, 2009 (edited) The compounding/polishing pictures were taken at the beginning of summer but I finally got around to take some pictures of the truck this afternoon. The detailing process: 1. Wash with dawn dish soap 2. Mothers Clay Bar 3. Wheel wells and under carriage were scrubbed down with simple green 4. 2 passes with Meguiars M105 compound via The Flex/orange pad 5. 2 passes with Mequiars M205 finishing polish via The Flex/white pad 6. The truck was wiped down with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove the oils from the polishing 7. 3 coats of Zaino Z5 with Z6 being used between coats 8. Finished with Z8 9. Wheels were done with Mothers Chrome Polish and finished with Z6/Z8 10. Meguiars High Endurance on the tires 11. 2 Tylenol for my aching arm Now the pics, I really need a DSLR camera, my point and shoot seems to mute everything. The haze in these pics are from the halogen light. Sorry, I don't have any before pics.
