dcairns Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 I am not sure how much stock I put in Consumer Reports, but their Reliability History, based on user surveys for the 2003 Cavalier shows it has a few weak areas: Fuel System Climate System Brakes Paint Trim Squeaks & Rattles So check those out good. black00chev Posted September 24, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 Well checked it over real good and here is the list of concerns: -IMMEDIATE attn. needed on driver side window, off track a little as i found out after putting the window down then back up. -Tires need replaced soon, fronts sooner then rears (directional tires installed) -Front pads/rotors replaced soon. Those are what would need to be done before winter which for me is in another 2 months. General care that needs to be done sometime would be plugs, belt, trans fluid, and headlights need reconditioning. Drove great, shifted nicely... AC was VERY COLD! Has intake on it already and looks like a cat-back was installed as well. What do you think guys? Price now is 3770. Thinking 3300 would be fair with what needs to be addressed. The sales manager flaked on the deal cause he didnt wanna loose $400 off their asking price to help cover the expense of fixing the window. The search continues.
