superchevything
Any body put Nitrogen in there tires?? I see a lot of tires places offering it now and they say it improves MPG.
elcompalaline
Mine are nitrogen filled, I don't know if it gets better MPG but I have noticed that the tire pressure "stays" for a longer period of time. Maybe that is where they get "better MPG" because we all know an under-inflated tire doesn't help MPG. So I don't have to check em as often. mcmahan
my dad uses nitrogen in his dealership he swears by it but i dont use it. i plan on it when i get new tires
smoothdime
it does help with pressure loss with temperature changes. but you can never get the full benifit of nitrogen because there isnt a machine out yet that can full replace all the air in the tire with nitrogen. none the less its worth the cost for peace of mind. gary
Tzer
No don't use it. It's not an option in out Backasswards part of the country. So I'll continue with the ciggy plug in air compressor to keep them aired up. Works fine for me

04fullsize
If you have to pay for it then its a waste of money. If you can check your tire pressure once a month and keep your tires properly inflated there is no reason to run nitrogen in your tires. Now if you feel like wasting $20-40 every time you get your tires pumped up be my guest. Just another way for companies to make money off of lazy people. http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Savin...mOverblown.aspx http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/the-truth...-with-nitrogen/
elcompalaline
I wouldn't pay for it, just so happens that my tire shop fills with nitrogen and comes with the service. Just keep em properly inflated and no need for it IMHO. Edited December 4, 2009 by elcompaLalo (see edit history)
