It shakes during a slower braking 30 mph and below and doesnt do it all the time. From inside the truck it almost seems that the front wheel is bouncing off the ground but I actually think its shaking the wheel side to side. I had some excess moving in the left front tie rod and had it replace 6 months but here in the last month it has started this. It also has 108xxx on the odometer. Does anybody have any ideas to what it could be. Thanks Sounds like a warped rotor if it is doing it during braking only. Is it ok when your not braking? If it is I would say a warped rotor. If it is I would say a warped rotor. I'm not going to disagree with you but the steering shake is much more vilante than a warped rotor shake. It almost like the tire is bouncing up and down off the road. And no it does shake do it when i'm not braking. Yes I'm will check the rotors to be sure, I'm sure to turn the rotors would be cheaper than replacing front end parts. I might also add that it doesn't do it all the time. Jack up the front of the truck and try to move the wheel up and down and in and out. If it wobbles in and out, its a wheel bearing. If it wobbles up and down, it's a ball joint. I'm wondering if it's the weight of the wheels versus the strength of the truck steering components. Only thing I seen was were a guy had added a steering stabilizer to take out the shock or the wooble you feel.
