De-chrome Da Grille !

gonna be adding a complete SS cladding kit and bumpers to my truck so i am now prepping my grille for colormatch.

i think the SS cladding and bumpers will go perfect with my new 24" Raceline wheels and my 4/6 drop

i know some guys will just sand the chrome and paint over it. but i feel alot more comfortable painting directly to the plastic (sand and prime of course)

stumbled across this trick the other day.

used a straight edge razorblade and tried it along the top edge of my grille.

work like a charm !

it's a little tedious, but well worth the piece of mind.

i was told once i got the chrome stripped off, just sand the plastic smooth. prime then paint.
