I am a Detroiter....so I do some strange stuff :) I live very close to the Packard PLant.

it I believe is the largest abandonded building in the world, millions of SQ ft. Alot of people come and tag here and urban explore and take pics...so it is a pretty well known spot in the area

After work I get a call that a buddy needs something heavy moved using my bobcat.

So I say cool, we'll be over later. So later he calls and tells me he is inside of the packard plant...interesting. He needs to move a piece of concrete/cynderblock wall that is 9ft by 6ft. Ok?? Why in the hell do you need this?? the story gets better.

So there is a British urban artist graffiti artist who goes by Banksy. He does not sell his art. But it is VERY cool.

At one auction in late 2008 a collection of Banksy's canvases sold for more than £350,000 ($535,000).

So he does not sell his stuff and he is very up and coming. So we cut this out and move it to a local art gallery! And by his own site this is a confirmed and documented piece...so yea its probablly worth some $$

This was a very cool event for me. a bunch of people saving a piece that will get destroyed by scrappers...here is a view from back a few.

yep, worked like a champ. this artist does not sell his work so its pretty rare to move a piece of his. there are alot of youtube vids about him...very cool, he talks about how his use of military/LE images are not about them but the dysfunctions in the system, we are all kids at heart.

It was very exciting, and refreshing seeing people work around crack head scrappers to save some blocks they would have knocked down for the steel frame.

one favorites are the rowing deathman

Due to legal issues the people who I helped had to get rid of this piece, seems it is worth quite a bit and the 'owners' of the pile of rubble we pulled it from is trying to get it back...so we took the bricks back. I no longer know where it is
