s34n Posted May 12, 2010 Report Share Posted May 12, 2010 how do i permanently disable my auto feature on my 04 silverado 5.3? my hid ballasts short out because when i turn my key to on position they turn on then when i start my truck there is a power surge(so to speak) then when i start my truck the ballasts have to ignite again. so what can i do? I did it to mine so I can turn my lights off and on whenever I want because the auto feature was blowing my bulbs. All you need it a resistor and some time to do it.
