alex.t
the truck sounds awesome and pulls way harder from like 60km , but from a dig the truck just feels like it takes for ever to get to higher rpms then with them closed. anybody else think this? i got beat by a bmw 328i with them open so thats why i thought i would through this up here and hear what you guys have to say
sierra ss
Mine feels stronger on bottom but i also have flowmasters. I will compare again when i get my flowmonster muffler installed in a week or two.
alex.t
ya, it just feels way stronger with the magnaflow in tact, i looked it up and the 328 i is 0-60 in 6.4 so i should of been close but he had me by a car.
1sik02
when i had mine, it was cool at idle, but when i raced or anything like that, id start off with it closed, then slowly open it for better performance, just my .
smallblock500
true the little back pressure that the muffler gives you helps with low end torque but the extra air flow that the open cut out gives in the upper RPM range lets the motor breath. Same is true for headers smaller tube headers are good for low end torque while big tube headers are better for high rpm.
