Cramer
Hey guys I was wondering what everyone's oil pressure gauge reads when the truck is off. I did my LED cluster conversion a while back, and just put a cam in and while I was there I replaced the oil pump with a ported LS6 pump. When my truck is off it reads a little under 10psi. When I start it the needle goes to 0 then to 75 or so psi when cold then drops to about 65-70 when warmed up. When in the throttle, anything over 2500rpms my gauge is 80psi +. I bought a mechanical gauge to put on just to test the accuracy of the gauge, and a new sending unit incase the unit was bad. I also logged oil pressure with EFI Live and it showed 38psi at idle, and raised to 56 at 4k. Sounds more reasonable but before the cam swap I had 40psi at hot idle and up from there on my gauge. BlueAKSSS
The readings from efi live sound right that's what my gauge says, but sounds like your dash gauge needle is put on wrong possibly or the stepper motor is going out maybe?
