04CHASE
What is it that gives a Corvette such a unique sound? Maybe a dumb question but i just was wondering lol well depends which vette your speaking of, a z06 sounds different because its a 427 . the other thing that also helps make a vette sound awesome is the exhaust is near identical from left to right banks as well as having an x or h pipe in the system . ( this is in stock form ) now if we are talking modded , i have seen some cars that sounded way nastier than alot of vette's.
alex.t
i think your old vid of the cutouts chase sounds pretty wicked, your new setup should sound unreal.
Hankg42
Later model Corvettes have an optional "dual mode" exhaust that has a pair of butterflies that open above 3500 RPM. When open, the exhaust bypasses the baffles in the muffler and is straight through. I have a kit on mine that allows me to have it open all the time, or have it function the stock way. I never close it! Edited July 20, 2010 by Hankg42 (see edit history)
