Bear Posted August 26, 2010 Report Share Posted August 26, 2010 You can remove the blocks without worry of any issues. You would be best served by purchasing the u-bolts for a regular 2WD model though, as they are shorter. Some re-use their existing bolts and just stack washers or some other form of spacer so that the nuts will tighten down, but I’m sorry, that just isn’t me. What is the exact purpose of those blots is it to support the extra weight for towing. I think there just longer for the lift blocks, so that's why you would have to use spacers.
