fuel67
Hey guys, I have an 07 classic V-Max i just put the front and rear SS bumper covers on. The front looks great but the rear seems to hang lower then the rear body panel. I looked at some pics on here and seems the SSs run even with the lower body panel. Any Ideas or adjustments? I'll try and get some pics posted tomorrow.
bruiser04
the rear hangs lower to match up with the cladding and the front as well ...its a little wider on the top
SSmoothSilSS
Post some pics up, I think the SS bumper has offset brakes that set it up lower than your regular Silverado bumper, I have a stock extra Silverado SS bumper I will take pics of the offset brackets and see if you have them. z28forlife
The brackets for a ss and a stock silverado are the same. The ss silverados have 7 pieces of side cladding per side it gives the truck that wider look and it hangs about 2in lower than the stock rocker moldings
fuel67
Thanks guys, I'll get some pics up to day but I think everyone is right. The side cladding is what keeps everything looking even. Since I have a four door that's not an option. May Just have to live with it. z28forlife
Good luck with what ever you end up going with i have seen guys run only the bumpers. Looks good but to a ss owner it takes getting use to after seeing are trucks day in and out.
