kwaves11
arizona has been having some pretty hard rain well at least for us and unfortunately my truck being a dd had to be driven. The roads were flooded yesterday and i believe i sucked up some water. I pulled the air filter out and it was pretty wet and there was water in the air box. I bought a new filter and let it dry over night. The truck fires up just fine but has trouble idling. It died once yesterday but hasn't had any problems after that. Im getting an oil change on the way home from class but im just wondering what else i should look at? maybe new spark plugs? any help would me much appreciated
misterp
Clean the MAF (search the How-to's). Is it only rough at idle, or all engine speeds? Mr. P.
kwaves11
Just when idling. Also should I clean the throttle body as well?
misterp
I wouldn't bother with the TB. I would have to see the truck to better judge what got wet but all connections are waterproof connectors so Are you getting any SES codes? Mr. P. kwaves11
nope just the weird idle. Hopefully ill get lucky and its nothing serious. today while driving to class I noticed that from about 3500 rpm's and up the engine makes a lot deeper tone. Its hard to describe but it seems louder and a lower bass tone then normal. Any ideas for this or am I just getting paranoid?
