06 v-maxx
I just traded in my RCSB 04 for a 06 V-MAXX and im wanting to change out my exhaust. I removed my dynatech headers and cats from the old truck , which brings me to my first question. I know these trucks dont have what i call a y-pipe like the 5.3 did but would i be hurting performance by putting the dynatech y-pipe on? would i be better buying the dynatech 6.0 y-pipes? Also if i stay with the duel in setup i was thinking about going with the GMPP cat back #17800765, anybody have opinions on this kit. This truck will also get my 112 maggie from the old truck to. thanks Benji.
70chevy03ss
You will just need to get some pipes made up to go from the drive side to the passenger side. So you don't need the Y pipe. Won't hurt anything
alex.t
if your headers will fit, then go ahead and put them on , run a nice 2.75 or 3 inch all the way back and that will be plenty of room for exhaust
8 UR HMI
unless u are pushing some serious numbers, u dont need anything bigger than a single 3" im running a custom y pipe all the way back from my headers. it flows great. Jordan836
If your Vmax is a 2wd im pretty sure you can use your Y pipe off of your 5.3. I had a 5.3 before my SS and the Y pipes were pretty much the same except of the fact that the 6.0 is dual in and it has a few different bends to clear the front drive shaft. But if your vmax is 2wd I would think you could just use your dynatech Y pipe from your 5.3. I have pacesetter Lts with a custom 3in Y pipe after the headers which I had made go 2 into 1 and it works awesome!
