chpspecial Posted December 14, 2010 Report Share Posted December 14, 2010 No, you can not just swap PCM from one vehicle to another. the new vin must me programmed into the PCM otherwise it will not start. IF it does not start, the crank relearn procedure will not work. Also, the crank relearn is not so that it will learn the VIN, but to learn the cam charecteristics to prevent false knock. To do a vin relearn your need EFILIve, HPtuner or the dealer. However if you take it in to the dealer you will loose the tune. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
