Power Steering Pump

Easy to do, instructions are in the box! You need the "special tool" - borrow (with deposit) from O'Reilly Auto the GM Power Steering Pulley puller/installer tools. And don't forget fresh power steering fluid, and to blow the old PS fluid out of the cooler, and empty the PS box/rack by turning the wheel from lock-to-lock a few times (cover with a heavy rag so you don't spit power steering fluid everywhere). Also get a can of aerosol brake cleaner, to spray down the area after you are finished so that if there is any leakage you will see so right away. Safety reminder, power steering fluid is EXTREMELY flamable, I almost lost a friend racing in a power-steering fluid fire, clean off the exhaust before restarting the vehicle.

Why is there a special tool needed. And do you know how much fluid it should take total?
