SSAlaska
I havent purchased a intake yet, still trying to decide, K&N, Volant, AEM, or MAC. There are not any NOS kits that I have seen for our trucks. Has anyone built a NOS dry kit? Is there a intake kit that someone would suggest that would work better for a dry kit? What parts would I need (Foggers, Hoses, Tanks, Solinoids)?
deezel
Add to your parts list: - larger fuel injectors - custom tuning Here's why: The stock motor runs the fuel injectors pretty close to the limit. With just bolt-ons, I run my injector duty cycle up to 90+% in the higher rpms when I floor it. With cam and headers, BigTex was running out of his stock injectors (around 125% duty cycle). So, a dry N2O kit will easily max out your stock injectors if you're not very careful. Many folks suggest a wet kit because the extra fuel is added through the N2O nozzle, not the injectors. A really big wet shot might require additional fuel pump to keep pressure up (or separate pump/fuel cell for the N2O kit). Several members are using wet N2O kits with little trouble. hope this helps
evandostert
I tried a dry shot and even 50 shot ran too lean.
