Jordmagg
I have a friend who has an '04 Tahoe and the rear heater isnt working. Upon inspection the anitfreeze was low. Ended up putting in a full gallon with the engine running with both heaters running, but still no heat from the rear heater. The front heater works great. Would the lack of coolant to the rear heater core cause it to corrode to the point of not allowing the coolant to flow properly? The rear heater hasnt blown heat in quite some time. paulguy
The heater should still flow coolant through it. Could be a bad temp door actuator and not changing over to hot setting. Apparently the control modules go bad and need to be replaced to,
Jordmagg
Thanks for the heads up. I tested both the air conditioning and heat and neither of them change. It stays just one temp. Maybe its the controller.
