SSS Posted July 15, 2004 Report Share Posted July 15, 2004 My A/C has began working intermittently. On start it runs fine for a while, but the compressor will then quit running. Shut if off, wait, restart and compressor runs for a while, then shuts off. It seems to have enough refrigerant R143a (added some) - but still same problems. Truck has 34k, no other problems. Mine does that, I was explained that when the cab gets at desired temperature the compresor shuts down and starts again when the temperature in the cab raises above the temperature you have set along with the fan speed.
