MilleniumSS03
I would love to see that reg. cab SS to go into production! I am sure others would also. That picture floating around is a pre-emption of what is to come I believe. I hear nothing but Ford freaks talking mess about the new SS but one topic they dare to not touch is the new Ram SRT-10. Every Lightning owner is scared out of their little pants when they hear about this truck. They will no longer be the only dog on the block. Now who knows how much of that truck will go into production but one thing is sure it will have the 500/500 viper engine. So why don't we all watch as that truck leaves Lightning owners saying,"Have you chased a Ram lately?"
MikeN
If GM would offer the Silverado SS with a regular cab and rear wheel drive, the power to weight ratio is almost on par with an L2. The SS would only have 20 hp less than the first L2s, and it would be much less expensive as well.
hotrod
"Have you chased a Ram lately?" Thats pretty good. I use to own a Ram. Loved it. But i just might have to go with the new ram, if the SS is AWD. For some reason i am just not a fan of it ;) and i am a huge Viper fan.

GregRexAdams
If the LS1s in other GM cars are any indication, the AWD will help some, although I doubt enough to facilitate its use. Now, in something with more torque and a lower distribution, like the 8100...yes. But at the strip on slicks that would also become unnecessary. C5SilverBullet
I am also a BIG fan of making the 8100 an option!
