morgan_mather
The dealership said my key for my wheels is stripped and they can't rotate my tires, do I have to get a matching set or can I just buy a new key? Should I just buy a whole new kit?
BlueAKSSS
I would just buy a new wheel lock kit if you key stripped out, as long as its the same type of lock and key in it. If you can't find the right key for the wheel locks you'll have to have a shop remove the old wheel locks. Good luck getting it fixed! f1ss
That happened to my truck, they brought me back to the service bay and asked me permission if they could use a smaller attachment on the torque gun and the lock came right off. The lesson I learned, wheel locks are a waste of money. The dealership guys were saying if they notice locks on your wheels, they just go for the whole vehicle instead. Id get rid of them personally.
