canadianVRss Posted May 3, 2011 Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 I have two questions for ya. I found these and was wondering what you guys thought about using them for a side exit set up. I would configure them to "interlock," when both are together the sides would be like so /__\\__/ Not too close of course so they don't rub and rattle. And yes I realize they're 2.5" Id. I bought OBX LTs and the collectors are 2.5" so I figured I may as well so it all I'n 2.5". If I went 3" it would be a waist because the collectors would restrict the flow making it pretty much a 2.5" system anyways correct? the smallest piece I'n the system is bassically what it is right? Ex. 4" to 2.5" than back to 4" would = a 2.5" rate of flow? This just seems like common sense to me. I have no idea honestly any who... Also just weld a brace between the two pipes about 6in behind the tips to make sure they dont rub or hit. Dero260 Posted May 3, 2011 Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 (edited) for the simple reasom the ss was made with little chrome I like the ones I have linked below, what I have on mine with a hooker muffler and it was one of the best sounding trucks at rod run. Dero260 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Share Posted May 4, 2011 I am a huge fan of black chrome I am redoing an 86 silverado and plan to have the front and back bumper black chrome as well as mirrors and door handles, lock and wheels. i have never seen a truck restored with all hyper chrome/black chrome so I gotta admit I am very excited.
