lilmarv1117
As the title states, I threw a P0172 code this morning on my way to work. Reading up on this code online, there are PLENTY of things that could cause the code....I figured the best place to start would be the run can of seafoam thru a tank of gas. Then, replace the driver side O2 sensor. Looking for any suggestions?? or personal experiences w/ this issue...Thanks!
SSplaytoy
Was that the only code? If you have a handheld or scan tool, hook it up and see how the o2's are operating and watch the long term fuel trims as well.
lilmarv1117
Yes that was the only code pulled off my Aeroforce guage... I know this may seem stupid...what would I be looking for as abnormal?? with both the LTFTs and O2?? I cleared the code before my drive home from work (4miles) without the code returning as of yet... SSplaytoy
If thats your only code, its a safe bet it's prob the sensor. Checking the fts' percentage would tell you a lean/rich condition that may be caused by something else and by checking the voltage of the o2's would also help to make sure that it is the problem before buying a new one and it not solving the problem.
