silverado777
You are less likely to break anything if you just remove the whole door panel. Its not very hard on these trucks.
2001silverado364
You can't "open" the housing, however the whole housing will pop out of the door panel, just make absolutely sure your screwdriver is behind the whole housing and not just the lens when you pry on it. Also, you pry on the opposite side of the housing as the light is on. Be gentle and it should pop right out with minimal force. Cramer
Just take one bolt out on the bottom of the door pocket. Pull it out of the door and reach in and undo the light housing with a quarter turn and pull the socket out. 5 min to do it!
stg313
I recommend taking the door panel off and doing it the right way. It only takes 4 minutes per door to remove the panel. Its a small price to pay for not breaking stuff!
Cramer
Seriously! Take one screw out of the bottom of the door panel that holds the pocket and pull the pocket out. The light is right there and meant to be replaced like this. Take the socket out and put the bulb in. 5 min for both!
