f1ss
Most likely the steppar motor/guage cluster assembly. My speedo was stuck over the 120mph mark. Had mine fixed (the speedo) and went to get some 93 gas down the road right after the fix and my fuel guage went. Got it fixed again and been fine. Fireman31
How many miles on the truck? GM had a recall program out on the guage clusters up to 70,000 miles.....
silverado777
You are correct. If the truck has under 70,000 miles the dealer will fix it for free. Unfortunately they use the same crappy parts that they did back in 04 so it will most likely go out again down the road. But hey if its free I'd say do it. But if you are over 70k then send it to me and I'll take care of ya. http://www.gmgaugeguy.com/
Guest JasonHensley22
I called to get mine fixed and it has under 70,000 miles but is older than 7 years so they're saying they won't fix it for free Edited September 10, 2011 by JasonHensley22 (see edit history)
