Ruben525
Truck was squeaking kinda bad sounded like I had birds under my hood so I changed my belt and tensioner pulley about 3 months ago and everything was good now my trucks squeaking at idle. Any ideas on what it could be? Also truck squeaks when shifting at wot. Anyone have the same problem? My belts only 3 months old could it be junk already? I'm thinking of trying out the Gatorback belt but im wondering if it could be anything else. Guest JasonHensley22
Could it be some sort of fluid getting on the belt thats causing it to squeak?

silverado777
Whould it still squeak with the ac off? Yes. Even thought the AC is off the belt still spins. I had the same issue with my truck so i replace the belt and idler pully.

Fireman31
Goodyear Gatorback #s...... 4040377 - AC Compressor belt, all models 4060922 - Serpentine belt, AWD models w/clutch fan and 105 amp Alternator 4060930 - Serpentine belt, RWD models w/e-fans and 145 amp Alternator Try replacing the belts first(yes a Gatorback will sure the dreaded WOT belt squeak). If you still have a squeak at idle after replacing the belts, it is time to take a closer look at the accessory drive components and figure out which is causing the noise..... Ruben525
Once the belts are off do you just spin everything by hand to try and find the squeak?
