rickyrick562
I was pulling out of the parking lot and just gunned it up to 35 and he said that the safe limit was 15 but speed limit posted was

8hnpSS
15 mph speed limit?? you probably just pissed the cop off because you floored it in a congested area
2001silverado364
If anything, that was reckless driving, I think I'd rather be charged for doing 35 in a 15. I doubt your exhaust is illegal, he just probably heard wot, so there's nothing to that, IMO. So what does the ticket say, or did you even get one? Guest Jason*
I got a speeding ticket here in AK where I was doing 95+ in a 65 and the cop was awesome, he only wrote me up for 74 and all I had to do was go online a week later and pay $60 as a fine. rickyrick562
Ticket says unsafe speed and gave me a warning on the exhaust also I don't have the registration with me cus I just bought it and he was trippin over that
2001silverado364
If it doesn't say the exact speed you were going, you can get it thrown out. "unsafe speed" doesn't prove or disprove anything...
Badkarma
fight it. Posted speed limit is posted speed limit. He cant cite you for your exhaust anyway, and he knows it. All he can do is send you to a station and have it tested with a db meter. Cant exceed 95 db I belive and 3/4s throttle.
bruiser04
as long as ur cats r in factory position the exhaust is legal it could just be loud and thats a hard one for them to right up i would fight it i got a ticket for doing like 63 in a 45 the cop was cool and said the speed was a lil slower so i wasnt above the 15 mph mark and the ticket was like $

2001silverado364
What were his conditions for the posted speed limit being unsafe at the time?
