Procharger And Cam

Recommended Posts

Lobe separation: 112 to 116 degrees Split pattern: Exhaust duration and lift approximately 10 degrees and .010, respectively, greater than intake. Install cam straight up. Contact a cam manufacturer for lifts and durations that best suit your application.

found that right on prochargers site so i should be alright if im reading it correctly

should work okay, not the ideal lsa for FI but you can get away with it on a procharger more so than a roots blower. something Zippy informed me of the other day thats more important than the lsa is the overlap on the cam. The closer to 0* overlap it has the better it will be for FI and will bleed off less boost. if you dont know how much overlap you have in the cam just post up a pic of your cam card and im sure someone can tell you

lots of guys go with a higher lsa i see , why dont superchargers like that lower lsa i wonder?

Cams with wider lobe separation angles "come in" sooner and pull harder at lower RPM's. They also contain the cylinder pressure of superchargers much better at lower RPMs.
