Rear Speeker Fell Apart

Recommended Posts

guys, i noticed that the rear speeker wasnt working in my SS, so i took ff the door panel and noticed that the magnet came off from the cone itself. i can stick the magnet bac on the plate but the cone doesnt move, so thats a no-go.

anyone know a good place to get the speeker? it seems to be mounted to the plastic piece that it was snapped into the truck door panel.

I had the same thing happen. As replacements, I bought Pioneer TS-G4642R 4-Inch X 6-Inch 2-Way 130-Watt Speakers. I bought them at Amazon.com for about $40.

Edit: I drilled a couple holes to mount them solidly to the door.

same thing was wrong with BOTH of my rear speakers when I bought my truck back in 09. I bought some factory speakers from another member on here. if you want to go back factory you can probably find someone willing to part with theirs.

Yeah Incredibly that same thing happened to me also and I didn't even realize it until I was cleaning the back of my truck and the sound didn't seem right. Took the plastic off and both magnets were stuck on the bottom of the door
