JC03SS
Looks good. And yes I took mine off. Your gonna have to keep it clean tho. I take my filter off at least 1 time a month and blow it out then I'm good to go.
silverado777
You might want to reroute your radiator hose. Its turning your cold air intake into a hot air intake

MARTYW
I left mine in. My K&N CAI actually has a mounting bracket that attached to the plate. It crossed my mind what you are talking about though.
jc06VMAX
SHOULD I HAVE TAKEN THE PLATE OFF ON THE BOTTOM TO GET MORE AIR FLOW? HAS ANYONE DOES THIS? I took mine out. The more air you can get in and the quicker you can get it in, the better. You might want to reroute your radiator hose. Its turning your cold air intake into a hot air intake I have the same problem with my cai. May just be something associated with low dollar cai kits. cmoney23
I actually got mine about 1/2" from my tube now. That plastic bracket around your radiator hose that pushes into the hole already on the cai tube. I got it in the right position where i do have a gap between the two. cb2big4u
I have the Aem Cai and encountered the same issue with the radiator hose. I also got a little 1/2" gap on mine also. Still is uncomfortable knowing its right up on it. Edited April 12, 2012 by cb2big4u (see edit history)
silverado777
I wrapped my heater hose with header wrap and also wrapped my intake tube with header wrap. Figured it would help keep the heat out.
