idahoBLKss
Well put a 3.4 pulley on the old d1 got a smaller belt and put some belt dressing on the belt" sticky stuff" and went out to do a couple pulls and this happened..... Any body else ever had this problem? Looks like water pump just spun right off. Edited May 6, 2012 by idahoBLKss (see edit history)
Blown 346
Wow. Never had that happen. But I have had the belt snaap with my blower car from either the belt being a bit too loose or too tight.
Cramer
Well it looks like you found out the reason why your hose was about to burst! Looks like the water pump seized up and the awesome power your putting out took the weakest link out.

stroked out
That happened so some of the guys running set ups like mine. The water pump pulley is only pressed on so when a lot of torque is placed on that it will squeeze the pulley off. The only way around it is to weld it on around the snout. ASP modded mine so that it can be bolted on. I can take pics of it if you'd like. As for the electric water pump question I'm not to sure if it will work so I'll leave that for someone else to answer. Adam

allballz57
I have a mezierre electric pump on mine, you just need to add a 1" spacer where the gaskets are and use two pairs of gaskets, I might have some spacers laying around if you decide to go this route
