Belt noise/high pitch noise after shift??

I am experiencing what sounds like my belt squealing-chirping when I accelerate hard; the sound comes right after it shifts - typically first to second. My truck has not always made this noise maybe for the last 20k miles; I have put on a new belt since first hearing the noise and am still experiencing the noise, so I am not sure it is the belt. It just sounds like a belt noise and seems as though it comes from the engine.

A typical driving scenario: Could be a from a stop or rolling start; 3/4 to full throttle, truck shifts hard, belt sound/chirping noise.

I notice it more if I let off right at or before it shifts.

Hoping this has happened to someone else as they would know what I am talking about; if not this is about the best detail I can provide.

Thank you in advance for your help

Goodyear Gatorback belts will solve your issue. I had the same, installed the gatorbacks and gone.

I put a gator on the 96 and the next day the idler pulley froze. Shredded it. I was pissed.
