E U G
Is there a fuse/relay for charging while towing? I have a travel trailer that's supposed to charge while hooked up to the truck and I'm not sure that it is. I've heard some trucks don't come with the fuse or relay (to stop charging when truck is turned off). Thanks
ChevroletCustomerService
Have you had a chance to ask your dealer about this option? I would be happy to look into this for you as well with the last eight of your VIN. Contact me privately. Thank you. Tricia, Chevrolet Customer Service. Chevy2K5
I think its a fuse that must be put in to get the 12v working. I had my local shop hook it up while they flushed my transmission and didn't charge me for it.
2001silverado364
Pop off the fuse box cover under the hood, and somewhere along the top you'll notice a fuse has been replaced with a red plastic cap that says something to the tune of "B+". You'll need to remove that cap and put a fuse in its place. Here's a pic, see it in the top left corner? It's supposed to be a 40 amp fuse. E U G
Thank you! Left for a camping trip a couple hrs ago. Nice to know I'll be charging the trailer on the way there and back.
keystone08
On my 03, I had to remove the plastic housing around the under hood fuse box, there is 2 posts under there ( top left corner), BATT+ is on one post and some other wires on the other post. I had to peel back the loom a little bit and there was a factory wire and end that was taped back, pull that out, remove the nut on the post and connect that wire, run the nut back down and put er back together, now I have 12v at the trailer plug. It actually took forever trying to find out why I had no 12v back there, but that's what it was, hope this helps..
