HPTuners logging and loading

Hey guys I just need a little info on the HPTuners set up. I'd like to:

1 log and send log to Wheatley

2 receive updated tune and load into my PCM.

 

Can I do this with VCM scanner or do I need VCM suite?

Well you use the scanner to log and build a file to send. You have to have the editor to load a new tune from Mr. Wheatley. So you will need the whole package.

So I'm going to need the suite to actually load the updated tune?

My bad, I was speed reading, I thought you where doing mail order tuning with wheatley, in which case he would up date a pcm and send it to you. But to upload an upsated tune, then yes you would need the full suite to do so, eventhough you aren't making any changes

Yep, you need the full HPT suite (scanner and tuner package). It is your call if you want the "Pro" version or not. For what you want to do, the pro isn't necessary so you can save a couple of bucks there. In order to flash your new tune, you will need to commit 2 credits (of your 6) to your VIN. Your tuner will also need to send you an unlocked tune file.

Correct,as stated above you would need VCM suite in order to load tune files.

VCM scanner is just for logging,that way you can email me the log files and then I can do a reflash for you.
