harriss
My low batt. idiot light is always on and has been this way for quite sometime. Its on even when the truck has been sitting for a day. My battery is getting old, but its not junk yet. I read this is another cluster issue; an issue with corrosion on the back of the cluster. Ive also read it can be an ignition issue. Does anyone have experience with this issue? thanks
cb2big4u
Ever thought of a charging issue. Battery might never be getting up to normal 14.4v at operating. Put a multimeter on your batt while the truck is running and if you are lower than 13.8 I would assume your alternator is taking a dump. 1BAD2K
As Tampa said, that would be my first thing to check into.
harriss
Good idea, the dash reads about 14v when running. Ill have to check with DMM though. I suspect that is not the issue since the light is dimly lit all the time. Thanks
Miller812
I swapped clusters with another member on here and when i put the new cluster in my batt light was on. I have checked everything. Battery is good, alternator is good. Still can't figure out why mine is on either. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
harriss
Lightly brush clean any discolored areas on circuit board on the back of the cluster. The light is now out.
