chawkins6789
Break it off and get a took to get out a stuck screw. Mine was similar. Only mine snapped off. Took a drill with a screw extractor attached and got it out

chawkins6789
No you can't Im speaking from experience on my 4.8. I snapped it off the threads. Its directly screwed into the block so The sensor will break off in it.

shawnss
you should be able to just pry off the vally cover and get to the bottom of the sensor. the vally cover just has the gaskets pressed in the bottom of it to seal it. it should be like any other LS motor. you should be able to just pry off the vally cover and get to the bottom of the sensor. the vally cover just has the gaskets pressed in the bottom of it to seal it. it should be like any other LS motor. built04SS
Thats what i thought but i know some are tapered towards the ends and was wondering if i can get it all the way off the mess with the sensor or had to try to hold it up while getting the sensor out
