super88
asking for a friend.. How do you guys think a turbo form a Cummins would run on a 91 Silverado 350 5.7??
BLNAWAY
I don't think the Turbo would be a issue but all the mounting, tubing and mod to header to make that big of outlet to fit that diesel turbo would seem to be a pain but i could be wrong just my thought on it Have you seen the Turbo i got one at work i think I'll try to find it n take a pic
chpspecial
It will most likely to small. Diesel and gas motors have different flow characteristics
ls2silvy
It wouldn't do to bad, the comp wheel is a little small, it would have good low/mid range! Is it a holset? Use to run one on my junyard Honda Delsol build way back in the day with an Integra LS engine, had almost no boost in first gear unless launched hard but second gear and up it was a beast! detjoe
I have read that the rule of thumb to conver is double displacement...So for a 6.0L gas you would need a turbo from a 12L diesel With 'cheap' turbos floating around you can get better quality and size if you do some research on the basics....Bigger exhaust side, at least 70mm on the compressor side. BW S400's are floating around for $600 and under... keep looking
