Straight pipes are not going to allow any back pressure and you will end up hurting power. It will also sound like crap. There really is no need to do anything other than replace the muffler. The stock systems on these trucks are more than sufficient unless you start modifying the engine and or building one.

Like he said just replace with a muffler it sounds good with a new muffler in place you will end up losing power if you go straight power

Unless your running wide open straight pipe will not help. I believe in letting your engine breath but that's a little too much lol.

Have this on my Trans Am love it.

I cruise around sounds like a nice V8 and hit WOT opens up at 3000rpm and just screams...... Slow down again let the revs down back to street mode.

Mine is connected to my Tach I love it so much going to bring a couple to the states when we go back.

Magnaflow also offers a catback for these trucks. Its mostly a preference with catbacks now a days. Any HP numbers you see with the catbacks is normally with other supporting mods to get the full potential and power increase. Dont be surprised if you dyno the truck and you dont gain what the companys list for power increases.

I had a corsa sport catback and yes as everyone else does, I loved it. unfortunately my muffler shit the bed and I didn't want to buy a new one. I put a straightpipe on inplace of the muffler and it sounded AMAZING. Stock exhaust manifolds, stock cats, then a y-pipe and straightpipe after that essentially.

is this the system you have (http://www.tickperformance.com/corsa-sport-cat-back-system-for-2003-2006-chevrolet-silverado-ss-short-bed-6-0l/), i like how those vids sound. im not really looking for a proformance exhaust just something that sounds good and isnt really terrible when crusing (only thing is i cruise at around 80 and with the autobhan ill probably cruise at way higher speeds for the fun of it sometimes.

815$??? i put a 4" full turbo back to dual 8in cat stacks in my f350 for just over 1000$ thats a little on the insane side for cat back if you ask me
