smalltownguy Posted February 3, 2013 Report Share Posted February 3, 2013 you may want to call the local dealer, i had the same issue and i was broke in college at the time so didnt fix it and low and behold i came to find out GM recalled it in our trucks and it got fixed at the dealer by the pros for FREE!!! The resistor for the manual control is most likely the $55 one. I remember paying roughly $120 for a digital one right from my local dealer, the replacement harness was not needed either.... [email protected] Posted February 5, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2013 That took care of it thanks guys I changed out the resitor it was the 120 dollar one and i did have to splice into the factory harness but all appears to be working. On a rare occasion, a faulty/bad resistor and a cooked harness can cause a fire.....
