Yes i think it was the pigtail resistor. Odd thing is this morning I got in and it turned on and ran fine for a bit, then stopped completely. And now it turns on and off intermittently........ this still sound like the resistor?

Need some help troubleshooting guys........so I had the truck running and heat was blowing full on set at 90. My gf got in and all of a sudden the blower stopped working, seems odd that it would just die while it was running right? Drove to my destination and heat still trickles out of the vents but is not being forced out. After the truck sat for awhile i started it back up and I am pretty sure the fan kicked on for a couple seconds and then died again. Any ideas as to what this is, I did change out the blower motor resistor maybe 2 years ago. THanks for the help.

They do look really nice cleaned up, and that is why I got these because I thought they looked pretty close to the stock rims. Really just kind of a personal preference that like the look of the stocks a little more, than these.

Hey guys anyone interested in trading rims? I have 22" chrome ridetec's, looking to trade for a set of stock chrome SS rims. One center cap needs to be re-chromed which I can get taken care of if need be. Other than that one center cap rims are in decent shape typical wear and tear. Message me your # or email for pics I can't get them to attach here it is saying the files are too large.

That took care of it thanks guys I changed out the resitor it was the 120 dollar one and i did have to splice into the factory harness but all appears to be working. Thanks again for all the help.

I ran the part number on gmpartsdirect and it gave me one that requires splicing for 55 plus shipping. So I am assuming if they don't have it I will end up splicing.

OK anyone know where i can order one of these, I went to Autozone, O'reiley, and Advance, none of them have one of these in stock. The ones that they have to order require some splicing into the main wiring of the truck, and I am hoping to avoid that. Let me know if anyone knows where i can order a direct replacement.

I will go look at this now, so is it just the resistor or a wiring harness?

Yeah crap happens i guess just a bad streak with the truck, but i guess that is expected considering i have nearly 150k on it with little to no issues before this past month. I might be shopping for a new truck soon lol .

OK well i did get the fuel pressure regulator fixed a couple days ago.....well the necessary repairs were short lived. Last night I was driving back to the hotel and all of a sudden my heat stopped working then kicked back on again at full force, and shortly after i could smell a plasitc melting smell. So i tried to shut it off and it would not go off and the blower adjustment will not work either. Once i got to the hotel i shut the truck off and the blower stayed on, so i froze my A** off trying to locate the fuse for the blower and finally pulled that to get it to shut off. Anyone have any suggestions? I am thinking a relay on the blower somewhere, also does anyone have a wire schematic that would help me track this down? Thanks again for any and all help

I changed out the fuel pressure regulator and I havent had an issue since.............Thanks for all the help

I will change the fuel filter and keep you guys posted........The battery is only 3 weeks old

Thats kind of what I have been picking up from these posts is keep replacing stuff until it is fixed. BTW where did you shoot that buck that thing is a monster.

I have not tried asking there maybe I will go do a search on their forums. It has been pretty much spot on with the issue happening after the engine is warm, odd thing that did happen last night is I left my house drove 10 min to gas station put gas in paid, and it started right up no issue so I do not know if the issue will only happen if the engine gets fully warm?? Could it be a fuel pressure regulator as well? If i take it in would a diagnostic pick anything up since I am not throwing any lights at the moment?

OK so i did a little searching online and there was another chevy forum for tahoes and a couple of there members had 96 tahoes that had this same issue, both of the guys posting said that the coolant temperature sensor seemed to alleviate this issue. So I have 2 questions out there first where is this located, and 2nd do you guys think this would be a logical fix. Thanks again for the help

Yeah once its running it runs fine no check engine lights or anything.............only thing i did before this started to happen was changed the battery, and i dont see that having anything to do with this. If it was a fuel pump issue would it still run with no issues once it is running? I have never had a fuel pump problem before so thats why I am wondering. I appreciate the help.

Yea starts fine in the AM when i go to work and in the evening when i leave work, but when it only sits for a little while say i go into a store or something and come back out it cranks and cranks to start.

Yes it does only do it when the engine is warm, It started right when we got a cold spell with a couple days below 0. To me it does seem to be getting worse. What do you think should be my first action to try and eliminate this?

So about a week ago my truck started to act funny when i try to start it. On a cold start it starts up no problem, but if i stop someplace once the engine is warm and turn it off and then try to start it back up it starts really hard I have to crank on it and it will barely start up. Anyone have any ideas what i should be looking at?

Accidently posted that, Anyone know how much labor this will take the guy said it would be 7.5 hrs labor 80 bucks for the part and he recommended I change out the starter right away, all that for just shy of 1K anyone out there know if this is reasonable or high??
